İşçi sendikaları asgari ücret turunda

NEWSFLASH

Parties have started discussions ahead of the determination of the minimum wage to be implemented in 2025.

Turkey’s largest labor unions, Türk-İş, Hak-İş, and DİSK are visiting political parties in the Turkish Parliament with a call for tax justice before the minimum wage negotiations that will begin next month.

After the meeting with CHP’s Gökhan Günaydın in the Turkish Parliament today, the three union leaders stated, “We demand a life worthy of human dignity.”

In a joint statement issued by the unions, it was stated, “The increasing cost of living, inequity in income distribution and taxation have further worsened the living conditions of all segments of society, especially workers with the lowest and fixed incomes, at the current point.”

“WAGE EARNERS ARE VICTIMS, NOT THE CAUSE OF INFLATION”

The statement continued:

“The approach that blames wages for inflation is unacceptable. Wage earners are the victims, not the cause of inflation. Livelihood and working conditions need to be improved as soon as possible.”
